The Machine That Goes Ping

The very first published story in the Toffia universe, this was inspired by a combination of photos of Cambridge in the snow and the 5 hour a day commute I suffered for most of 2005. The title is, obviously, a Python Ref.

It was published to Alt.Fan.Pratchett between the 22nd August and 9th September 2005. I am quite astoundly pleased I actually managed to finish it. It needs a bit of editing, and probably about three more episodes in the middle…

The thread it was originally posted to is here on Google Groups. One day I hope to get around to editing it properly.
